ALIAS AND PSEUDONYMS USE AMONG POLITICIANS FOR POLITICAL GAINS

There is usually a range of reasons why people may prefer to use pseudonyms or alias names. Reasons ranging from concealing real identify to escape a lawful arrest to committing crimes against humanity.

However, among politicians, the use of pseudonyms and aliases has been, in most cases, founded on personal political goals and greed. I have read and evaluated the political class across the world and concluded that the use of the alias and pseudonyms names by the political class often geared towards portraying themselves as either powerful people with extraordinary power to protect their people, or as good and down to earth leaders with a positive course towards helping humanity and bringing development. However, after a thorough review of the world political class, the overall strategic goal of alias and pseudonyms use is dictatorship, greed, bad governance, corruption, and wealth accumulation throughout tax payers.

Let's look at the history of a few of them:

1. Joseph-Désiré Mobutu

The late and former president and dictator of Democratic Republic of Congo, Mobutu Sese Seko real name was Joseph-Désiré Mobutu. Joseph, later assumed the alias "Sese Seko" which means, "The all-powerful warrior who, because of his endurance and inflexible will to win, goes from conquest to conquest, leaving fire in his wake". This was a well calculated ideology he used to portray to his people of his strength to lead and fight for them. Contrary, he used the alias to his own benefit and the benefit of his own family leaving DRC in economic shambles and political unrests. May you burn in hell Sese Seko.

2. Donald Trump

I hate this guy with all my body parts, including my private parts. My hate for Trump is not to him as a person but his ideologies. Throughout the 1980's, Trump used the alias "John Barron" to get himself into business deals. One known case was in May 1984 when "Barron" lied to Forbes reporter about Trump's wealth and assets to get Trump on the Forbes 400 list.

3. Ferdinand Clifford Ndung'u Waititu

This is another funny homo sapien who has embraced and perfected populism for his own benefits. I though love how he has previously used his populism skills to get himself closer to the electorate. In 2017, Clifford assumed the alias "Babayao" as his surname and I believe this was with an intention to portray to the supporters and voters that he was the ultimate kingpin who was committed to fight and address the citizens human rights and social economic development agenda.

But instead, the man who has always wanted rivers to be moved, ended up screwing the same people and the county he represented.  Leaving them more poorer than he found them with his accounts and that of his family, over flowing like River Ewaso Nyiro, with billions of the tax payers money.

4. Mbuvi Gideon Kioko

This man, the Governor of Nairobi, currently facing corruption and money laundering charges is another populist, bright enough to have known the historical and political importance of alias names. Mbuvi Kioko adopted the alias "Sonko" which portrayed him as a philanthropist and someone with good intentions to help the less fortunate.

Though he has done significant and tangible job in supporting the less fortunate, questions still remain unanswered on the source of his wealth. The well calculated, adoption and strategic use of the alias "Sonko" was with selfish intentions solely for his own benefits; power and money. You can also call him "The Drama Boy" or "The Drama King".

5. Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi

Rais Daniel "Mtukufu" Moi............

This is a story for another day my good people.
