MY FAMILY CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY OF RETIRED PRESIDENT MWAI KIBAKI

When you’re riding, only the race in which you’re riding is important.

Your Excellency the Late Mama Lucy Kibaki, you rode an important race. You roughed both the smooth and rough terrain and the cruel untimely death has stopped the race. Yes Mama, we will not cry or sympathize but celebrate a well lived life. A life of great achievement crossing borders, rivers, lakes and seas. May your soul Rest In Eternal Peace Mami.

Lucy Kibaki and Mwai Kibaki
Many might have hated you, many might have loved you while at the same time, few might have loved you. That is accepted and expected because no human being can satisfy the needs of all human creatures. Even the IEBC hasn't been able to meet the needs and expectations of all political parties; not even CORD. Regardless, we celebrate your legacy Mami; a renowned legacy of fighting for the women rights, media freedom and that of nurturing the young minds to pursue their dreams. The legacy of being a true loving wife to your Excellency Mwai Kibaki. How I wish today's woman can live to embrace your traits Mami. We loved you Mama. You were a mother to Kenyans including my family and I. A mother we learnt to embrace till your death.
May your soul Rest In Peace Mami.

Though the radiance which was once so bright has now and forever been taken from our sight and the fact that nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass and the glory in the blossoming flower, we will forever celebrate your strength, humbleness and love whilst spreading the gospel of PEACE, LOVE and HARMONY.
May your soul Rest In Peace Mami.

Mami, how I wish you could have lived a little longer. How I wish you could have laughed a little longer. How I wish you could have regained your strength equivalent to that of your yester-years. The beautiful and elegant pictures below clearly shows the strength am talking about. The power you once held in you to love, respect and embrace not just your husband but every Kenyan from all races. Mami how I wish today's woman can embrace your trait; the character of a respectful woman.
May your soul Rest In Peace Mami.

Finally, I pray that your descendants [husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and relatives] will live in peace, love and harmony.

Lovely Mami, as I say a final rest in peace and pay a final tribute on the behalf of me, my family and the Kenyans of good will, I will leave you with this, "There is no greater sorrow than to recall happiness in times of misery.”

REST IN PEACE MAMA LUCY KIBAKI
