Hon. Peter Munya,| Governor Meru County |
In
the recent past, since the election of Honorable Peter Gatirau Munya as
the governor of Meru County, I and fellow Kenyans raised claims on his
corruption deals and emphasized that he is unfit to rule the Merians.
Yesterday, this same Gatirau was mentioned by His Excellency the
president as being among the public officials that needs to step down
for investigations on the alleged corruption cases.

Hon. Munya with bulls that were claimed to cost 200 million |
Let me remind you Kenyans,
do you remember the bulls’ saga costing the taxi payers money close to
200 million Kenyan shillings? Did I and fellow Kenyans not raise the
issue? Did I not mention the issues around bribing the county MCAs to
sail through his corruption deals? Did I not and other Kenyans raise
issues around the construction of the governor house estimated to cost
the taxi payer millions of shillings that cannot be justified? Spending
100 millions of tax payers money on children school milk? Did the WHO say that the Meru County children are malnourished? Is the school milk a priority for Meru
County? Someone is taking us for the fools lovely Kenyans. I rarely pray, but I will ,this time, dedicate a few hours of worship so that His Excellency the president ensures that these named individuals are investigated and stepped down.
I feel a burning chill in my
heart, and tears trickling down as I put down this. I feel like my own
sister is being killed by killing the wealth of Meru County? Can't you
all join me in shedding tears for Meru County? Join me in reclaiming our
lost glory by telling Hon. Munya to make use of the tax payers money to
the right priorities?

Newly tarmacked Mikinduri road |
Do you remember the 'newly' tarmacked
Mikinduri road that is already worn out? Do you really think that we
just spent a few thousands paying the contractor to do a poor job? See
the picture below courtesy of National Construction Roads Authority of
Kenya. Do you now see why I am painfully expressing my thoughts and
emphasizing on Munyas' stepping down? Will we standstill and watch the 'Land of honey and milk' being wasted to a desert by a few individuals?
These are just a few
Kenyans. My fellow Merians, why then do we need to continue having this
guy as our governor? Are we ready to die as a result of poverty while
enriching a few people in Meru? Are we ready to give our county to be
devoured by the hungry dogs? NO! NO! NO! A capital NO!
I know you have answers to these and the answer is Munya must STEP DOWN, INVESTIGATED AND PROSECUTED.
We have NO sacred cows in this government!!
